Project
The Chao Center: A tribute to Ruth Mulan Chu Chao
Client
Harvard Business School
This program was shown at the ribbon-cutting event at the opening of the newest building on the HBS campus. For the program we interviewed Dean Nohria, the former Dean, Jay Light, professors, and important donors. We also interviewed six members of the Chao family. The project was a highly sensitive dramatic history of the family, and their success in business, government and academia. We created several historical scenes using stills and stock footage and recorded many scenes in and around the building. The music was composed for the show and includes sections written in the pentatonic scale to sound more Asian. The important members of the audience were engaged from start to finish, ending in great applause.
