This program needed to look forward to the future while looking back to the past. The client brought in several people from the community with wonderful stories to tell about the early days of the hospital. Many of them brought keepsakes and we turned these into a tabletop scenes that bound together the different program sections.

The music by Virgil Thompson, was chosen to feel both modern and old American. The melody lines were performed for this program by Sheila Fiekowsky, of the Boston Symphony Orchestra.
